We worked with a local candle maker and a local ceramist to create a candle that captures the scent of our mountains.

Notes from Jill of Aspen Clean Candle:

  • The Colorado Candle is free from petroleum wax (paraffin), synthetic fragrance, phthalates, hormone disruptors, artificial colorants, and all California Proposition 65 chemicals.
  • Each stoneware vessel is handmade by Liam Grinton in Denver, CO.
  • Always trim your candle wick to about 1/4" before you light it. Don’t burn your candle for more than 4 hours at a time. With proper care, your candle will burn clean to the bottom.
  • The paper dust covers on the stoneware candles have wildflower seeds in them. Simply place the paper dust cover in a cup of water overnight, then drop it in some soil, cover with about 1/4" of more soil, water it, and wait! 
  • The shade of purple on this handmade vessel will vary. That's the nature of ceramic glazes!

"My new self-care treat! Scent is subtle and nurturing; wax burns cleanly to the edge (tips on Aspen Candle’s site). A too-short burn left a small amount of edge wax, so I rubbed the (cooled) wax into my hands, popped on rubber gloves to wash the holiday pans, and bonus hot-wax mani. Thank you Dr Sarah (and Jill and Liam) for creating this feast for the senses."
