Damaged my skin barrier

"I have very sensitive , acne-prone skin, and I was looking for skincare specifically designed to be gentle and free of irritants. Unfortunately, although this skincare product is marketed for sensitive skin, the essential oils and botanical extracts in it are common irritants for those of us who are more sensitive. Within one week of use, I broke in hives and my face was stinging. It did not matter what I applied to it afterwards (gentle moisturizer, or sunscreen), my skin was raw and burned like hell. According to my dermatologist, my skin barrier is severely damaged and will take weeks to heal."

Cured my PD!

"I tried everything, for almost a year, to fix my perioral dermatitis. The dermatologist even gave up on me. I found Osmia through a blog post on PD that popped up during my google search. I immediately bought the irritated face kit and used only that for several weeks. I watched the rash slowly disappear over the weeks and it’s never come back. I still use those two products everyday plus a few products she recommended in her post. I also struggled with acne for 20+ years. I’ve been going to estheticians for 10+ years and have had good results and bad results but the products were always so harsh on my skin and eventually the acne came back. Since switching to the irritated skin kit I rarely have breakouts and almost no redness. This product is a miracle for my sensitive skin. My only con is I wish they would remove the plastic lining from inside the bottle so it was truly plastic free."

An absolute miracle

"As someone who has tried it all to help her acne/perioral dermatitis, the simplicity of Osmia’s products are really all I needed. (I have done antibiotics, accutane, so many topical treatments/creams that I’ve lost count, every big name brand skincare from moisturizers to cleansers to serums to acids to you name it. I’ve tired cold turkey from all skincare, I’ve done the diet, cut out soda, gluten, sugar, you name it!! I’ve tried it!) And if it was helping my acne, chances are it gave me dermatitis not far after. So, to say that this moisturizer is a miracle is an understatement. I cannot thank Osmia and Sarah enough for the creation of this brand! I bought the cream and black clay soap a few years ago when I first started dealing with perioral dermatitis, and kept the lotion in my drawer after it was gone, switching back to aloe vera and jojoba oil for my moisturizer. This April, I experienced a very bad flare up in the corners of my eyes, nose, and all around my mouth and chin. I was desperate. I was applying topical cream after topical cream from the medicine cabinet that the internet said would help, I layered so freaking much aloe vera and glycerine. My skin was freaking out and so was I, and I made it entirely worse. I didn’t know what the cause was: my thoughts were stress, which I had an influx of recently, too heavy of oils on my skin (caked some avacado balms on my nose from being sick) and not watching my diet. So I went back to the basics. I quit using the saponified bar from the grocery store that was stripping my skin. I stopped using all the oils with too high a percentage of essentials in them: and I used the wash I knew worked. Nature sustained soap berry wash. (Bars don’t do well on my face) And I pulled this face cream out of my drawer. One application. One! Two pumps, and my skin had immediately calmed. I took a nap. Woke up, the redness had decreased significantly, the bumps weren’t as angry! So I kept this routine for a couple days, leading to today, and my skin is so much better! I’ve got a bit of tightness and flaking (which I beleive it the skin healing itself) and a bit of discoloration. All I’m doing is gently washing with the soap berry wash at night, and using about 3 pumps of the lotion. And it’s going away. If you’re considering this as a last hope for perioral dermatitis, or considering it for any reason at all, buy it!! It has saved my life. To find something that heals my dermatitis, but does not clog my pores or irritate my acne, is so amazing! Thanks so much."

Best cream I've used yet, for my perioral dermatitis

"So far, so good! I have perioral dermatitis so I'm still trying to figure out a skin care routine that works and won't inflame my skin. I hand wash my face with a natural unscented bar, pat dry gently, and follow up with the face cream. It doesn't irritate or burn my skin. I can tell that my face is slowly getting more hydrated. It hasn't caused a breakout yet, which is not something I can say for any oil based creams I've used. So far, I love it!"

Hi Lisa! The Purely Simple Face Cream dispenses 120-140 pumps per bottle. (The last time we tested it was 143.) Hope this info helps!
